New Blog!

Hey friends!

Welcome to my newly designed website and blog! As some of you might know, my husband and I welcomed our baby girl, Raelee Elizabeth this past April. It’s safe to say things have been a little hectic since then. I am continuing to work both shooting weddings and graphic design, which means launching my new brand has been a little bit on the back burner.

I’ve slowly been phasing in my new brand over the last couple of months. Being a graphic designer, I always tell my clients to tell the world about your new brand, which is something I just haven’t had the time to do, unfortunately. Even though my new logo was done, my website was half-finished, my blog wasn’t up yet, so I wasn’t ready to say “Hey everyone, go check out my new website! It’s half-finished and I’m pretty sure some of the links don’t work!” yeah no…sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get things done. In this case, it was slowly chipping away at my website and blog. When it comes to being an entrepreneur and having a newborn, you have to be OK with timelines being pushed back a little bit. My new goal was just getting it accomplished. Which is why I’m so excited to be here, telling you all that it’s ready to be seen.

I know my website will evolve and continue to grow. That is the exciting thing about a website. It doesn’t have to stay the same way forever. It grows as you grow, and changes as you change. My brand sure has changed since I first started. I’ve talked to other graphic designers about this and most have had the same issue…but when it comes to designing our own brands, it’s so much harder to design our own than for other people. I took my time and really figured out what I liked. I love my new logo, alternate logos, and colors. They feel very me and that is what’s so important. I want my business to feel like me, and I want to be proud of it, the same way I make my clients feel when I’m designing new brands for them.

I hope you all enjoy following along on my journey as I continue to photograph lovely couples and design lovely things.
